Art Exhibitions

Kiranjeet Kaur
The artwork of Kiranjeet Kaur is a strong reflection of her love for Indian and Afro-Caribbean culture. In her view her art has a ‘carelessness’ to it. She is a person who has learnt to accept the ‘imperfections’ in her artistry and out of this acceptance has created distinctive and captivating pieces.

Kiranjeet has produced various pieces of mixed media illustrations. Along her journey, she has developed a unique a style of hand painted artwork infused with rich and vibrant colours. Heavily inspired by the Fauvism and Neo-Expressionism movement, Kiranjeet rejects the idea of realism which she reflects in her work.

Kiranjeet wants nothing more than to continue to create and express herself through her paintbrush whilst inspiring others and sharing with them the way she interprets the world

Sheen Ochavez
Sheen was born and raised in the Philippines and is now based in the UK. She studied painting at the Heatherley School of Fine Arts and took several classes from leading Contemporary British and American artists, most recently under Elaine Spatz Rabinowitz at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. She paints figures and landscapes of far flung places that she had visited which included, Bhutan, Tibet and the Pacific Islands, but most recently Israel has taken her utmost preoccupation. Her paintings have been exhibited in New York, The Philippines, Milan and at the Menier Gallery in London.Sheen's work is described as "highly suggestive", "erotic" and "sometimes, quiet political." She likes to portray women in their vulnerable states but their physique suggests an aura of strong will and capabilities. The most recent evidence of these are her new series of nudes against the backdrop of the London TFL logos as she attempts to portray the women in London – vulnerable, yet strong. One critic commented, " Sheen's art encourages the voyeur in us".
