After a long break for Summer we're excited to get things up an running again. For our first event of this year we're honoured to be teaming up with York Don's BlackBox in the Hidden basement with two of our favourite DJs and Producers.

Marquis Hawkes [ Aus Music / Houndstooth / Dixon Avenue Basement Jams]

After being involved in the scene for almost 25 years now, Marquis Hawkes AKA Mark Hawkins knows how to produce a track. He first emerged as a DJ in the UK illegal party scene in the mid-nineties, and began to release techno across a variety of European and UK labels throughout the 2000s. Several years and records later, whilst desiring to adapt his persona to accommodate a more house-orientated sound, he adopted the ‘Marquis Hawkes’ moniker for a string of new releases on the notorious Glasgow-based Dixon Avenue Basement Jams imprint. 

Mark soon found himself in demand, with labels like Clone and Aus tapping him up for 12”s, before a relationship with Houndstooth blossomed, with a series of EPs leading up to the release of his highly-acclaimed debut artist album ‘Social Housing’.

Youandewan [ Aus Music / Secretsundaze / The Brane / Small Hours ]

Berlin Based DJ and producer, Ewan Smith AKA Youandewan, has slowly been forging his own unique style of house over the last 10 or so years he has been making music. His latest EP "Ideal-Passage" showcases his talent and versatility with melancholy melodies weaved within minimal, mellow beats and his first release on his record label, The Brane, is an all time favourite of ours. Consisting of 4 fast paced club tracks you'd be equally happy listening to on the dance floor or at home for a quiet night in.

Harvington [ BlackBox ]

Joining the lineup will be our very own brother duo; Harvington. Made up of BlackBox resident and York boss Gully and Phonix Manchester co-owner Kings.
