Funke and the Two Tone Baby / The Prosaics / Corin / Man Cave

The Penny Theatre Canterbury is proud to bring you this line up of exceptional talent.

Pleased to welcome back to the venue for the 1st time since 2013!!

Funke and the Two Tone Baby

Funke and the Two Tone Baby is a one man sonic explosion. Uncategorized and uncharted. Jammed halfway between frenzied alt-blues and metronomic dance beats. Combining guitar and harmonica with beat-boxing and effects that seamlessly collide the organic with the mechanical to create a fresh sound of unstoppable rhythm and unrelenting melody.

From supporting Skinny Lister, Beans on Toast, Hayseed Dixie and Mercury Prize nominees The Comet is Coming to a 40 date festival tour in 2017, including standout shows at Beautiful Days, Bearded Theory and Hungary’s Sziget Festival, Funke has quickly becoming a must-see act on the festival and touring circuit. 2018 will see yet more shows from Funke and his long awaited third album will make it another busy year.

The Prosaics

The glory days of 80's indie jangles through songs of English grit and whimsy. Irreverent, darkly humorous and observational; these are songs where the words do the dancing. Morrissey has a lot to answer for here. Perhaps Nick Cave as well.

The Prosaics are far from prosaic. In fact they're hardly prosaic at all.

Corin

A shredding singer/guitarist from Kent who has really created a buzz around his playing thanks to an immense technical ability and fun, high energy shows. He will blow you away with his guitar acrobatics!

Man Cave

Powerhouse vocals and dirty guitar. Original tunes inspired by the blues & rock n roll. Its as if Muddy Waters has run amok in Tom Waits's shed
