Comedy Showcase - New Adelphi Studio

The Comedy Showcase is a celebration of the full range of creative and academic work by students of BA (Hons) Comedy, Writing and Performance. It will be a celebration, especially, of work by Level 6, the final year cohort.

The afternoon event is an ‘open university’ format and features a mix of practice and research presentations accessible to comedy specialists and enthusiasts alike – there will be samples from Radio Comedy, Sketch Comedy, and Stand Up, as well as presentations by students and staff on Comedy Studies topics from the acoustics of laughter to virtual clowning.

The afternoon will feature the presentation of two awards for Performance and for Writing by Susan Craig, widow of Mike Craig the eminent comedy writer. 

We will welcome a number of guests from our supporters in the Rotary Club.
