TRAGICOMICS is a band that plays original country-flavoured lyrical pop music. 

Originally formed by Manchester-based songwriter and neurotic Christopher Eatough, the band has since blossomed into a sextet of unsurpassed musical talent and modesty. 

They have been compared to Ryan Adams, Rufus Wainwright and Jesus. Mostly favourably. 

Having spent several years in hiding, OLD SONGS FOR THE NEW CELIBACY marks Eatough’s return as one of Manchester’s most persistent songwriters. The record was inspired by ongoing struggles with depression and a newfound resolve to laugh in the face of impending doom.
