A musical and dramatic journey celebrating the Stonewall Riots, the most important event in LGBT+ history, as well as stories of same-sex love across nine centuries. London’s favourite gay venue, HEAVEN, will be taken over by The Fourth Choir who’ll perform a programme of hauntingly beautiful music by composers such as Hildegarde of Bingen, a 12th century lesbian nun, and 20th century composers Benjamin Britten, jazz legend Billy Strayhorn, and Rufus Wainwright. Actors will re-tell extraordinary true stories – of a woman put on trial in 18th century Germany for marrying another woman, history’s most famous bisexual love triangle, and the story of an early HIV survivor. Actors include Jonathan Blake (The Grass is Always Grindr and one of the first people in the UK to be diagnosed with HIV), Annette Badland (Midsomer Murders, Eastenders), and Sanchia McCormack (Dr Who, Broadchurch).
