GRINSTOCK COMEDY CLUB - Thursday November 08th 2018 (Night 1 of Season 10)

That's right people Grinstock is back for season 10, and it's going to be another amazing season of award winning comedy.

Our 10th season see's us move to a new venue, we've moved to the newly refurbished and stunning Crowne Plaza Hotel Felbridge. Don't worry it means a nicer venue with cheaper drinks, onsite free parking and also a monthly food offering just like last season. But the best bit is we're back to Thursday nights, which means it's only one day of work after before the weekend. It also means we keep your weekends free.

We are running a special promotion for our first night of comedy at the new venue, just like we did last time to get everyone down to see the new venue and check it all out, so we are doing the first 100 tickets at £7.50 so grab them fast before they are all gone.

Our Launch night see's another award winning line-up of comedians and we've secured the amazing Russell Hicks for our resident MC alongside the fantastic Edd Hedges for this years season of Grinstock.

10 years come support the orginal East Grinstead Comedy Club, now in it's 10th years as one of the leading monthly clubs in the South, nominated two years running for comedy club of the South.

Here is the lineup for the first night of comedy.

Edd Hedges (MC)

Recent tour support for Sofie Hagen.

‘Edd Hedges is a joy to watch.’ The Scotsman

‘Supremely affable style.’ Chortle

'A tough act to follow’ Bruce Dessau

So You Think You’re Funny 2013 winner

At only 23, Edd appears to be older and wiser than his years and has all the hallmarks of a very promising career. With an incredibly endearing stage presence, Essex-boy Edd Hedges has a natural affinity with an audience and since winning So You Think You’re Funny in 2013 his career has skyrocketed.

Being a runner-up in subsequent finals of Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year and Piccadilly Comedy Club New Comedian of the Year, Edd went on to feature in Montreal’s Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, Just The Tonic’s Big Value Show (Edinburgh 2014) and the Machynlleth Comedy Festival which also marked his radio debut on Radio 4 Extra’s Comedy Club with Arthur Smith. Edd also recently guest starred in an episdoe of Joe Sutherland and Stephen Bailey's On The Rocks podcast.

Taking the UK circuit by storm, Edd can also be seen performing his unique style of ridiculous anecdotes in various comedy clubs such as The 99 Club, Just The Tonic, Jongleurs, Komedia and the family-friendly show, Comedy Club 4 Kids.

Edd’s debut Edinburgh Fringe show Wonderland impressed audiences and critics alike, with many praising Edd's uniquely disarming comic style and talent for storytelling.

"A Tour-de-force of impressions...side-splittingly funny... Desai is ridiculously talented...Stardom is beckoning"

★★★★ Edinburgh Guide

Anil Desai’s unique brand of feel good, energetic, stand-up comedy is based on his real-life stories, experiences and observations - at times dry, occasionally sarcastic, but with genuine honesty and an optimistic wisdom, from his love of movies, and film-stars to his everyday life, global travels, relationships and the ever-changing state of the world and it’s cultures.

His sets are fused with a who’s who of amazing impressions, international accents and every day characters as he twists, turns and transforms himself into our favourite movie stars & celebrities with dynamic speed and lovable charm, often losing himself in the mix whilst creating hilariously entertaining results and being one of the most adaptable comics in the industry.

He won the audience vote for best comedian at the 2010 Asian Comedy Slam for doing more than just ‘Indian’ comedy. He has made guest appearances on Chortle’s Fast Fringe showcase, The Hour (STV), Hey, Hey, it’s Saturday! (Channel 9, AUS), The Unknown Movie show (Ch31 Aus), Good Morning, 4Live and Asia Down Under (TVNZ), The Kerner Show(German TV), Ali Mcgregor’s Cabaret Kitsch (BBC Radio 4) Humour TV(Netherlands), The Slammer Returns (CBBC) and BBC Asian Networks Big Comedy Night
