The History of Video Games ' The Lost Arcade' Bristol

A Lost Arcade has been Discovered in Bristol and will

be open to the public in October for Halloween and the Half term
school holidays!

*Building workers, recently renovating an old dock
building in Bristol have stumbled across what is thought to be ' a
lost video game arcade ' 100s of vintage and retro video games from
the 1970s, 80s and 90s – upon finding this haul, the developers for
the scheme called in the 'History of Video Games team'.

A Spokesperson for the 'History of video games' says ' this huge
collection of classic arcade machines was discovered in Bristol, and
we were called in to see if they worked, and to get them cleaned up
and back into use and create an event for them'

The event in question will be 'The History of Video Games Presents –
The Lost Arcade' which opens on Friday October 25th 2019
as a short term pop up event on Millennium Promenade (off Millennium
Square, opposite Pizza Express on the harbourside) , just in time for
Halloween and the half term school holidays – we have a space for
over 100+ arcade machines, with a huge collection of retro consoles
from Sega, Nintendo, Atari and Playstation – the event will also
feature a pop up cinema showing entertaining films all about the
history of video game culture.

The event is an all you can play video game event, so just pay to get in
(choose a session and book a ticket), then all the video games are
free, no coins required!

This will probably be the UKs biggest retro arcade!

You can also hire 'the lost arcade' for a Christmas event, birthday party
or special occasion (product launch etc) we also offer full food and
drinks packages – for more info please send us a message via our
