Student Race Day I Tuesday 28th May I Leicester Racecourse

Today's the Day of Leicester's first ever Student Race Day! If you haven't already secured your ticket FINAL RELEASE tickets are on sale now for £15 from www.studentraceday.co.uk

There will also be limited pay on the door spaces for the special student price of £16. If you want one of these make sure you go to the specific student turnstile and present your student card!

Here are some FAQ's...

Are there student drinks deals on Tuesday?

Yes! £2.50 Mango & Raspberry Rekorderlig, £2.50 Red Stripe Cans & a £2.50 Student Race Day Cocktail! Plus of course the racecourse's normal full drinks menu!

What are the rules on proof of age ID and student ID?

This event is not strictly 18+ so you will not need proof of age ID to enter the event. You will need to show it to buy alcohol at the event though.

You are more than welcome to bring non student friends (i.e. friends from home etc.), every student (from any Uni) can bring up to 2 non student guests in with them. Obviously they would need an entry ticket of their own too.

Is there a Dress Code?

We encourage you to dress to impress! But there is no specific dress code though so feel free to wear whatever makes you comfortable. The only strict rule enforced by the racecourse is no football shirts.

What entertainment will there be on the day besides the horse racing?

Funfair entertainment including... Bucking Bronco, Bungee Run, Crazy Golf, Coconut Shy, Giant Inflatable Slide &Holey Moley Game!

Live DJ's playing all day in the Nelson Suite & Terrace overlooking the finish line!

🎧 Due to the incredible sales for this event, we will now be running an after party at the event from 6.30pm - 9pm, hosted by DJ ALEX MILES! 🎧

What are the Free Bus times?

Free Shuttle bus for ticket holders (first come first served, 2 double decker coaches for each pick up time) 🚌 🚌 🚌

>>> University Road (Bottom of Mayors Walk) 11.45am and then again at 1.15pm.

>>> London Road (outside the Old Horse) 12.15pm.

>>> Welford Road (outside Grimsby Fisheries) 12.45pm.

What time does the event open?

Our gates open at midday with the first race starting at 2.10pm, so make sure you get in early so you don’t miss a thing! The last race will be at 5.10pm and the event will carry on until 6.30pm.

A trip to the races is all about dressing to impress, enjoying a drink with friends and trying your luck on that 20/1 outsider with the catchy name!
