GO! Social - Singleton Sights & Lunch!

Location Information: We’ll meet at Fulton House on Park Campus for an explore of the park, then head back to campus for some food at JC’s.

Description:

Singleton Park is right on the doorstep of Park Campus and contains some of Swansea’s most Instagrammable sights. Join a group led by International@CampusLife to discover some of the beautiful hidden gems, and meet some new friends too.

After meeting outside Fulton House, we’ll head into the park and see some of its best bits, like the Stone Circle, Swiss Cottage and the stunning Botanical Gardens. It’s not rushed - you’ll have plenty of time to take perfect pictures.

Once we head back to campus (and have worked up an appetite) we’ll head to JC’s - one of the Student’s Union venues which has recently reopened! - where we’ll have a bite to eat and a chance to chat. Food and a non-alcoholic drink are included for you. The food included will be a burger and chips, along with a soft drink. We have beef, chicken, vegetarian, and vegan options.

Current Covid-19 restrictions mean we must keep our groups small, so we’re offering a variety of times. If you book a ticket and cannot make it, please let us know as soon as possible.

Conduct: You are responsible for your own behaviour and time keeping. Please take reasonable care of your own and other people's health and safety.

Accessibility: Both the University campus and Singleton Park are accessible locations, however within the park itself certain locations might not be suitable for wheelchair users – particularly in the event of wet weather. If you have any specific accessibility needs or queries, please let us know.

Children: Children (aged 3 and over) are welcome on this trip and must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Please be advised that their safety and well-being is the responsibility of their accompanying adult at all times. We are not able to offer a specific child meal as part of this event, and admission to JC’s will be in line with Student’s Union policies.

Data Protection: International@CampusLife will use the information you provide for attendance and safety purposes. We will use your data to produce internal statistics but will not share it with third parties or use it for marketing purposes. Your information will be provided to our trip leader on the day of the trip for the purpose of attendance monitoring and emergency situations. The information will be kept confidential and passed back to ICL and destroyed on return from the trip (once we have passed the legally required COVID-19 Track & Trace period). Photos: We will be taking photos throughout the event which we will use to promote future activities in the form of leaflets, social media posts, digital screens and on our website. If you would not like to be included, then please tell us on the day of the event. If you see yourself in any pictures and would like to be removed, please email us at gosocial@swansea.ac.uk and we will make sure that any photos of you are deleted.
