Ruminations
Afracturedrecollection
Director: Lara Ritosa Roberts
Dive into the archives of memory, re-write identity, and capture the echo of a skin once lived in. Ruminations explores how memories can create worlds across generations and nations. Inspired by Tadeusz Kantor, recollections are cut and pasted to create new shapes of the past, and motivate a continuation of observance. Through techniques and influences from Louise Bourgeois, William Kentridge and Heidi Bucher, the bio-object takes on a playful new meaning of what it is to recall.
