This festive season we’re delighted to welcome one of the Ibiza four, a group of young lads that have gone down in history as being the key to the rave movement, Mr DANNY RAMPLING.
One of the very first superstar DJs, a true dance music pioneer, and the creator of the legendary Shoom nights in London.
A fateful trip to Ibiza in 1987 alongside Paul Oakenfold, Nicky Holloway and Johnny Walker would open their eyes to a completely new take on music, clubbing and life thanks to DJ Alfredo and the Amnesia terrace.
Upon their return to the UK they would set up their own nights and transform their DJ sets with a balearic care free open-minded influence. Their passion and drive, along with the acid house explosion would create a music revolution in the summer of ’88, also known as the second ‘Summer Of Love”.
This movement would continue over the coming years, moving in to the 90s and creating the UK rave culture that would completely take over the world and still bear influence today.
