It's the Tattershall Castle's 90th Birthday Party ! Saturday 21st September

THIS IS GOING TO BE A VERY SPECIAL NIGHT ! THE GRAND OLD LADY IS 90 YEARS OLD AND THE SHIP IS HAVING A PARTY TO CELEBRATE !!!

Launched in 1934 as a passenger ship , ferrying people across the Humber in Hull , The Tattershall Castle retired from service in 1981 , when she came down to take up permanent residence on the Thames at Victoria Embankment .

The Tattershall Castle is a permanently moored boat on the Thames at Embankment . It is also a floating nightclub and one of our favourite Saturday night venues . Summer nights aboard the Tattershall are absolutely sublime , there is nowhere else in London quite like it .

The event takes the form of a social gathering/mixer with introductions in the earlier part of the evening , followed by dancing on deck and later more dancing in the clubroom downstairs .

PLEASE NOTE that this event begins at 8 pm and you must arrive before 9 pm to avoid paying an entrance fee directly to the venue , as well as to me .

THE BOAT MAY START CHARGING AT 9 PM .

I have a table reserved on deck , table 101 , first table on the right hand side as you come down the ramp onto the boat . This will be our base whilst we are chatting , having a drink , dancing on deck , til 11pm , then we move down to the clubroom .

You are also free to use  the bar/ward room below deck . This is a nice cosy refuge if it's chilly on deck and the windows provide an amazing view of all the coloured lights which illuminate the famous icons on the opposite side of the river (London Eye , City Hall , Southbank Centre , etc).

 The club room opens up at 11 pm and we can dance to all those 80s/90s sounds from years gone by.....til 2 am !!
