Miles Goodall | £5.00 | Buy |
Spawned in the land of the famous four and the bad bowl cut, Miles Goodall has curated the ideal blend of pop hooks from jazz cooks. Draped heavily in the culture that surrounds growing up in modern day Britain - from working a dead end job to 4am drunken rants, it's almost impossible not to find yourself listening to each track as if it has been written about you.
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, Goodall challenges the constraints of commercial success and the idea that straight love sells; speaking openly about his love life in a personal yet universal narrative.Having received support regionally and nationally from BBC Introducing in addition to a glowing review of his latest single 'Slide' from BBC Radio 1's Jack Saunders, Miles and his band have gone from strength to strength since the release of their debut EP 'Close To Okay' in September 2020.
Prior to the Coronavirus pandemic, Miles and his band had performed Nationally and Internationally at festivals including Sziget Festival (Hungary), The Great Escape (UK), 2000 Trees (UK) and Brighton Pride (UK), as well as supporting notable artists such as UB40, Joshua Radin, Winnie Raeder and Margaret Island.Going forward in 2021, Miles and the band have been working on their next single 'The Cut' with producer-mixer Duncan Pym (Ivor Novello Winner 'Mysie'), with the release planned for the end of summer 2021 - tied in with live shows around the UK
