Noise Academy joins forces with Door 84 - Youth & Community Centre  to bring 4 full days of workshops to the young people of York as part of the Holiday Activities & Food programme.

Noise Academy - About us
We are made up of a team of tutors that are passionate about getting young people excited through our music technology workshops. We teach arts like DJ skills and other forms of music making and we can't wait to launch this 'one of a kind' project which will take place on the following dates in August - 10,17,24,31

DJ Skills
Work with professional DJs and learn the basics of DJing and more. Get to grips with mixing tracks together, create epic drops, and walk away with your own mix on Soundcloud. Discover the world of electronic dance music and kick start your journey.

Beats
Each week we will be providing music based activities from Drumming through to music making and so on.

Sports
To include a fitness element our leaders will be running various sports activities each week on site.

Door 84

Door 84 is a youth and community hub in York, creating bridges between young people, families, parents and carers. They provide opportunities and spaces for people to come together, achieve their potential and lead happy, safe and fulfilled lives.  

How it works

• When arrive you will be allocated to a group
• Open to ages 10 - 16 years
• Maximum of 30 spaces available per day
• 30 students will be split into 3 groups of 10 that will rotate around 3 exciting workshops across the day

Nutrition

• You will receive a FREE 'Healthy' meal along with a healthy snack and a drink.
• Our healthy meals will be provided by a local caterer and will fit inline with the HAF guidelines
• We want children to learn about healthy food and the positive benefits.
• Let us know of any food allergies or special requirements when signing you child up

• Choose a day that suits you best
• NOTE: You can book your child on to more than one workshop

Times?

• 10am - 2pm
• Please arrive from 10am.
• 2pm is the allocated time for pick up

• Choose a day that suits you or multiple days
• Only 30 spaces available per day
• First come first serve
• Our team will send you a text message reminder the day before each workshop.

Cancelation

• You must give us 48 hours notices via phone call/text or email with your child's name
