Since forming in 2014 Sifaka have become an integral part of the vibrant Leeds music scene. Dubbed ‘soul rock’ their sound is raw, powerful and straight from the heart. Sitting at the crossroads between the soulful Southern sounds the Alabama Shakes and the heavy blues of Led Zeppelin.

Their mesmerizing live show is a sweat-soaked rollercoaster of poetic storytelling lyrics, infectious interlocking grooves and soaring solos. At any one moment their music travels through Mardis Gras in New Orleans, Woodstock, CBGB’s in downtown New York and swinging 60’s London. As accomplished multi-instrumentalists and improvisers their arrangements have a rich palette of colours as they take their songs to the brink of collapse, breaking them down into tiny particles of rhythm and melody before building into huge choruses.

Their latest release ‘In The City’ - produced by GRAMMY-nominee James Towler – perfectly captures the energy of their live show and is available on all major music streaming services. Following on from a year supporting Kaiser Chiefs and Pete Doherty at Bingley Music Live, and Imarhan and Melt Yourself down at the Brudenell Social Club they are preparing to release three singles over the summer followed by a UK tour.
