Big Aloha Beach Welcome Party | 18/9/2017 | Nightingales Club, Birmingham.

Channel the Love Island vibe and join us as we celebrate the height of summer at THE biggest beach party in Birmingham!

Aloha is Hawaiian for welcome, and we’ll certainly be welcoming you in style to the first of our 4 ‘Big Freshers’ events.  Get your beachwear back out of the wardrobe, put on your flip flops, blow up your inflatables, and join us as we show you how to party, BCUSU style!

BCUSU will be taking over the prestigious Nightingale club (Hurst Street, near The Arcadian Centre, in the Gay Village), where we’ll have 3 rooms of top Birmingham DJs playing a host of your favourite tunes; Chart, Cheese, Hip Hop, R&B, Garage, Techno, Commercial Remixes and those all-important summer Party Anthems, to really get you going.  After all life’s a beach, so come and enjoy it with us!

Time Travel Tuesday | 19/9/2017 | The Institute, Birmingham.

For one night only, BCUSU will be the Doc Brown to your Marty McFly as we travel through time. Are you brave enough for the ride? 

Tonight, we want to see you dressed as characters from the past or future and come together to P A R T Y! Held at the historic O2 Institute in Digbeth; which regularly sees bands and performers from every decade entertain the people of Birmingham, top Birmingham DJs including our very own DJ society, will take you on a musical journey through time.  We’ll have a special retro room playing 70’s disco, 80’s punk, new romantics and 90’s Britpop, so you can ‘get down’ with the tunes of the past. In the main room, our DJs will be entertaining you with up to the minute Chart, Hip Hop and R&B tracks, as well as Commercial Remixes to bring you bang up to date and beyond. 

Let time travel take over your Tuesday night, and join us on our adventure into the unknown!

Glitter Party | 21/9/2017 | Rainbow Venues, Birmingham.

BCUSU are on a mission to make your night sparkle!

We’re giving you a festival vibe tonight, as we party Coachella-style in the fabulous Rainbow Warehouse (ranked in the top 5 best nightclubs in Great Britain).  Set throughout the warehouse, black box and up on the roof terrace (with its dazzling views of the city), the amazing Seedysonics DJs will be playing you a mix of Commercial Anthems, Drum & Bass, Grime, Disco and Cheese, to ensure you’re dancing the night away.
We want to see what you can do with glitter, so wear it with pride tonight. If you’ve never used it before, don’t worry as we’ll have glitter artists on hand to really make you stand out.

Closing Party | 25/9/2017 | o2 Academy, Birmingham

All good things must come to an end and this is your last chance to celebrate Freshers before it’s officially over for another year!

Tonight we’re heading to the famous O2 Academy in Birmingham City Centre, which regularly hosts top name bands and DJs, for the party to end all parties! As well as BCU’s first ever Massaoke (live band playing huge anthems where everyone is the vocalist), we’ll have a top named DJ act (still to be announced, but previous acts have included Mister Jam, DJ Narstie, Danny Jones, Greg James, Charlie Sloth and Zane Lowe, to name just a few) to really make your night go with a bang!  All this and the top Propaganda DJs will be playing a range of Cheese, Commercial, R&B, House, Hip Hop, Techno, Garage and House anthems, to really give you a last night of Freshers that you’ll remember forever!

Only students who are currently enrolled or joining Birmingham City University in 2017 can purchase tickets, plus up to 3 additional tickets for guests. You may be asked for your University ID when collecting your tickets or wristbands.
