Ignis presents Nastia

Named #8 in the Mixmag Top 20 DJs, Ukrainian DJ Nastia is different than most; she is a DJ first, she doesn’t play a single genre and she isn’t afraid to speak her mind. Young Nastia began DJ’ing as pure recreation, but a trip to KaZantip changed her trajectory. She soon found herself touring internationally, and even began a residency in Moscow. Her DJ sets bare her heart on her sleeve, and her selections are thoughtful and nuanced. To see Nastia today is to see someone in the prime of their career doing what they love most.

Nastia started her DJ career in 2006. Born and raised in Uklaine, she became one of the top DJs in Eastern Europe. Her list of accolades includes landing herself her own weekly radio show on Kiss FM Ukraine, becoming the resident DJ for Kazantip Festival and Moscow Club ARMA17, co-founding Strichka Festival, and starting her own record label, Propaganda Records.

Today, she plays at mega-festivals all around the world, such as Time Warp, MOVEMENT, Ultra Japan. Her style is often called “minimal” but she pushes the boundary. Her mix is tricky and creative. She mixes 4 to the floor beat into abstract break beat track, very naturally. She says she's not a producer, she's a DJ. She uses all kinds of beats to move the dance floor. It doesn’t matter if BPM is 90 or 130, old school or new school, anything. Not only she maximize the power of each track, she unveils new attractive out of the track. If you see her performance at Neopop Electronic Music Festival in Portugal, which is 10,000+ people festival, you can see her skills. Her performance is purely magical.
