About Doomsday Outlaw

Doomsday Outlaw

DOOMSDAY OUTLAW is a ten-legged blues-rock juggernaut rolling out of the heart of the United Kingdom, coupling huge riffs and a killer groove to soaring blues vocals and tales of heartbreak and redemption. They bring together the best of hard rock and heavy metal with a dash of country. They pour their all into crafting juggernaut tunes that bring riff after riff, all topped off with the soaring classic vocals of Phil Poole.

With a new album, Hard Times, on worldwide release from Frontiers Music in May 2018, the band are ready to take on the world. The track 'Spirit That Made Me' showcases their approach, hooking up a towering blues riff onslaught to soulful vocals, and throwing in some Blaxploitation backbeat for good measure! It’s an ideal introduction to the musical variety and passion that you’ll find on Hard Times.

Doomsday Outlaw vocalist Phil Poole said "We're so excited to be sharing our new album Hard Times with you all. We've given everything we had to create something we're really proud of - and having the opportunity to share it is really what's it's all about. Whether you get the record or come and see us live, getting the feedback from the fans is amazing, and it's a feeling that never gets old. This is a big year for us and we can't wait to get started. Look out for some big announcements coming your way and we'll see you on the road! Much love."

John, the band's drummer, says of Phil: "He's our ace in the hole. Everything else was in place with the songwriting and performance but Phil has just taken the band to the next level.” He joined the well-oiled unit of Steve Broughton and Gavin Mills (guitars), John Ironfoot Willis (drums) and Indy (bass) and the band set out to bring their blend of heavy blues to the world at large.

They self-released their album Suffer More in May 2016 and quickly gained rave reviews from around the world including 10/10 from Powerplay Magazine ("I doubt you will hear a better album this year"), a blistering review from Fireworks Magazine ("Now THIS is a find!") and Album of the Week from Worship Metal ("Doomsday Outlaw could release an album every 6 weeks and it’d be better than 99% of the bands out there!"). This brought them to the attention of Frontiers Records - home of Dirty Thrills, Bigfoot, Whitesnake and Warrant. Label head, Mario de Riso, wasted no time in signing the band to a multi-album worldwide album deal.

With the album, live shows and high-profile festival appearances locked in, 2018 is sure to be the Year of the Outlaw, so get on board, and we'll see you in the pit!
